Atlas of the Heart did not disappoint! It is a beautiful reference tool that examines 87 different emotions. In it, Brené compares and contrasts the different emotions using research, stories and illustrations.
Brené explains that without the right language to articulate what we are experiencing, we will be unable to process those emotions and therefore will remain hostage to them. Having this new vocabulary has already helped me work through a couple challenging events in my life. I am confident that I will refer back to this book for years to come and it will help in my continued social and emotional growth!
